17-year-old found fatally shot in Hoke County

HOKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Authorities in Hoke County are investigating a 17-year-old's death as a homicide after he was found fatally shot Tuesday night.

Just before 8 p.m., Hoke County Sheriff's deputies were called to the intersection of North Old Wire Road and McGougan Road about the incident.

When they arrived, they found 17-year-old Bryan Stuart Requena of Sampson County face down on the ground.

Further details surrounding the incident have not been released. The investigation is ongoing.
