Police investigate fatal shooting in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police say a man has died after a shooting in the 4600 block of Hope Valley Road early Saturday morning.

Officers said it happened around 4:15 a.m. When authorities arrived, they found evidence of a shooting, but no victim.

Police contacted local hospitals and were able to find the shooting victim who died of his injuries. He was identified as 33-year-old Santonio Rodriguez Rochelle of Durham.

Authorities did not release any additional information.
