I-40 westbound reopens after hour-long incident near Highway 70 south of Raleigh

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Interstate 40 has reopened near Highway 70 in Wake County.

Traffic was backed up for miles as law enforcement worked to clear a situation in the area that forced the road to close.

The incident started at 9:45 a.m. and lasted an hour.
