MIAMI, Fla. -- Music superstar Jennifer Lopez paid tribute to the slain "Queen of Tejano Music" Thursday night at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Lopez reprised her role as Selena Quintanilla, performing several of the slain singer's biggest hits. Lopez started with Selena's song "Como La Flor" before performing "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom," "Amor Prohibido," "I Could Fall In Love" and finally "No Me Queda Mas."

Selena was murdered 20 years ago in Corpus Christi, Texas. A montage of photos of the Mexican-American Tejano star played behind Lopez while she sang on stage.

After the performance, Lopez was seen hugging Selena's sister Suzette and brother A.B.

After the show, Lopez turned to Twitter to thank Selena's family, writing: "Tonight was so special."

"People like that don't come along every day," Lopez told Billboard. "There is never going to be another Selena."

Lopez first played Selena Quintanilla in the 1997 movie titled "Selena."
