Chatham County man charged with kidnapping juvenile from Virginia

NEW HILL, NC (WTVD) -- The Chatham County Sheriff's Office says it has found a missing Virginia juvenile with a man in New Hill and now he's under arrest.

David Alan Scott III, 25, of Wilson Ct. in New Hill is charged with felony first-degree kidnapping, felony abduction of a child, felony indecent liberties with a child, felony statutory rape of a person 12-15 years of age, and felony statutory sexual offense by an adult.

Bond was set at $2 million.

Scott is scheduled to appear in Chatham County District Court in Pittsboro next month.
