An 18-year-old Zebulon man faces multiple kidnapping and assault charges after police responded to a reported hostage situation.
Officers responded around 9:15 p.m. to a domestic disturbance call at a home in the 3800 block of Pin Oak Road.
Joseph Henrichsen, 49, and his 23-year-old son, Phoenix, were charged.
Federal authorities have released new details and audio from a dramatic hostage standoff involving the alleged kidnapping of two U.S. Forest Service employees near Gumboot Lake in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
Law enforcement in far Northern California announced the arrests of a father and his adult son in the alleged kidnapping of two U.S. Forest Service workers, who are safe and free after being zip-tied and held at gunpoint for nearly 15 hours in a trailer in a remote area.
"This case continues to be investigated as a kidnapping for ransom case," the FBI said in a statement.
