Man hit by car in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A man is in critical condition at WakeMed after he was hit by a car in Raleigh Saturday night.

It happened just after 11 p.m. on Rock Quarry Road at Shepherd Valley Street near I-40.

Police said the 33-year-old Jonathan Menard tried to cross the road when he was hit and he may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
