Manhattanhenge sets its light on New York City

If you're walking along the busy streets of Manhattan during sundown on July 12, take a moment to look west, because you might catch the stunning biannual event known as Manhattanhenge.

"The event happens when the setting sun aligns with west-east streets in Manhattan, New York City," according to AccuWeather. The event happens two time a year, around May 28 and July 12.

The name Manhattanhenge refers to Stonehenge, the famous prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England. Other cities also experience a similar sunset display, with Chicagohenge, Torontohenge, and Montrealhenge casting their glow on the city skyline.
