2 dead in Cumberland County wreck

CUMBERLAND COUNTY (WTVD) -- The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly wreck in Cumberland County.

Authorities said it happened on McCormick Bridge Road near Sandclay Road.

There were three people in the car. The driver, 27-year-old Michael Brett Tidwell, of Spring Lake, and passenger Jamie Nicole Easingwood, 22, were killed in the crash.

The third passenger, 21-year-old Luis Rios Jr., suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Highway Patrol said speed and alcohol were both factors.
