One dead in motorcycle crash in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police said a motorcycle driver died in a single-vehicle wreck Sunday evening on Western Boulevard.

Officers responded just after 6:30 p.m.

Monday, they identified the dead man as 49-year-old Peter Traylor of Cary.

Investigators said he was headed north on Western Boulevard between Boylan Avenue and Hunt Drive when his bike left the roadway, hit a curb, and then slid into a tree.

Neither speed nor alcohol was suspected.
