HIGH-SEAS RESCUE
The Coast Guard flew to the rescue after a fishing boat crewmember was hurt by a falling crab pot off the coast of Alaska.
A special basket was lowered from a helicopter and the rest of the boat's crew loaded the man in.
He was then flown to the hospital.
STRANDED RACCOON
A Big Apple raccoon bit off more than he could chew when he shimmied up a light pole in Queens, New York.
The animal couldn't figure out how to get down and it took firefighters to save him.
AMTRAK TRAIN HITS CONCRETE TRUCK
Twenty-four people are recovering after an Amtrak train plowed into a semi-truck in northwest Indiana.
The impact of the crash in Reynolds split the big rig in half.
The truck was carrying powdered cement. The dust covered the train and the surrounding area.
The truck driver survived and is doing okay. Investigators are now trying to figure out why he was sitting on the tracks.
ROCKET EXPLOSION
The owners of a commercial supply ship that exploded moments after liftoff Tuesday night are promising to find the cause of the failed delivery mission to the International Space Station.
And they're warning people around Wallops Island, Virginia to not touch any debris they might come across from the craft, which was carrying hazardous materials. Crews are searching the ground for pieces of the Orbital Sciences Antares rocket and the cargo module.
