Man charged in NC State dorm burglary

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- An alert was issued to NC State's campus after a student reported that they awoke to a man in their dorm room early Thursday morning.

According to a Wolf Alert, around 3:15 a.m. a resident at North Hall dormitory on Hillsborough Street told University Police that they were awoken by man who had entered their room and was going through a dresser drawer.

Thursday afternoon, police said they arrested and charged Remi Agajainan Reed, Jr. after detectives recognized Reed from a 2014 incident in which he was a person of interest in a misdemeanor case at North Hall.

Reed was charged with first-degree burglary. He is being held in the Wake County Detention Center.
