CHARLOTTE (WTVD) -- Former N.C. State point guard Anthony "Cat" Barber worked out with the Charlotte Hornets.

This is Barber's 11th team workout, and he says his quickness and scoring abilities as a point guard are his biggest NBA strengths.

The former Wolfpack star talked about his decision to leave school for the pros.

"First thing is my daughter," Barber said. "I felt like I'm playing for her now so I've got to provide for her and do what I've got to do to take care of her.

"I felt like it was nothing left for me to do at N.C. State," Barber added.

Barber said he made the decision to turn pro with input from his family and coaches.
