Woman fatally shot in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Authorities in Fayetteville are searching for the gunman involved in a shooting that killed a woman early Friday morning.



Around 12:30 a.m., police were called to the 500 block of Moore Street about a reported shooting.



When officers arrived, they found 54-year-old Alvis Tina Davis of Moore Street lying in the street with a gunshot wound to her abdomen.



She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She later died at the hospital, according to authorities.



Authorities also said there are no witnesses or suspects at this time.



Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit are actively investigating the homicide.
