Woman robbed at gunpoint at Sampson County ATM

CLINTON (WTVD) -- Sampson County sheriff's deputies are investigating a robbery at an ATM in Newton Grove.

A woman told deputies that she was in her vehicle at a BB&T teller machine on Aug. 19 in Newton Grove when two armed men approached her and demanded money.

The suspects robbed the woman of $20 in cash and took her wallet. The victim said the suspects left the area in a green passenger car last seen traveling toward Johnston County on US 701.
