Fayetteville man faces slew of child sex charges

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Fayetteville man has been arrested and charged in connection with multiple sex offenses involving a minor.

Fayetteville Police said the incidents took place throughout 2016 and involved an 11-year-old victim.

Bert Alexander Braddock Jr., 37, of the 700 block of Moriston Road in Fayetteville, is charged with first-degree forcible rape, first-degree sexual offense, two counts of indecent liberties with a child, and two counts of child abuse sexual act.

Police said Braddock was familiar to the victim.

Braddock was arrested in Bladen County. He is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $1.25 million secured bond.
