3 charged in Durham County double shooting

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Authorities in Durham County have made arrests in an overnight shooting that left two men injured.

Officials say the two victims drove themselves to a federal medical center in Granville County following a shooting on Old Oxford Highway near Lake Michie in northern Durham. The men did not have life-threatening injuries.

Late Thursday, the Durham County Sheriff's Office announced Mario Dewayne Dawson Jr, 20; Damarjeza Daquan Dawson, 20; and Khalid Jamall Hopkins, 18, are all charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.
