Farmhouse burns to the ground in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities are investigating after a fire destroyed a farmhouse off Doc Corbett Road in Orange County Sunday evening.

There were people in the house when the fire started but they made it out safely.

The flames also sparked a small brush fire which made it harder for firefighters to put out the blaze.

No word yet on a cause of the fire.
