CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A woman in Charlotte threw her two children out of a window to save their lives.
A fire trapped Elizabeth Jennings and her children, one of whom is a baby, in a second-story bedroom. A neighbor heard Jennings screaming and told her to drop her children down to her.
Elizabeth Jennings recalled, "She caught my baby. And my other neighbor caught my other daughter."
Neighbor Dolorence Burrill said, "I just said, 'Let her come down, we got her.' We just caught her. Just caught the baby."
Firefighters arrived in time to rescue Jennings. The mother and her two children were not hurt.
