Police search for suspect wanted after threatening his family; last seen with weapons

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are asking for the public's help to find a suspect involved in a family violence incident Saturday.

Authorities say 23-year-old Andrew Thomas Browne threatened family members before entering a wooded area within Ridge Road, Lake Boone Trail and Horton Street.

Officers searched the vicinity Saturday night and Sunday morning but did not locate Browne.

Browne stands about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs an estimated 130 pounds. When last seen, he had firearms in his possession.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Browne is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department's tip line at (919) 834-HELP.
