OXFORD, NC (WTVD) -- The wife of a man who authorities initially thought died in a crash is now charged with first-degree murder.
Thomas Lee England, 27, was found dead in his truck on Redding Road on March 13. The truck had run into a tree near his home off N.C. Highway 96 north of Oxford.
But a closer inspection showed England had been shot before the crash and the case was ruled a homicide.
Deputies arrested 24-year-old Atalia England Friday. They said she showed no emotion when she was told of the charge. No motive was given.
Lee England was an auto mechanic who owned a garage on his property.
