Woman hit by car near Duke

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Police say a woman has serious injuries after she was hit near the entrance to Duke University Thursday evening.

It happened just after 6:30 p.m. at Duke University Road and Chapel Drive.

The woman was in a crosswalk when she was hit. There was no immediate word on charges.
