Pedestrian hurt in multi-vehicle crash in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was hurt after being hit in a chain reaction crash on Highway 55 in Durham Saturday just before noon. It happened near the ramp for I-40.

Authorities say up to 4 vehicles were involved.

The person hit was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
