RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was hit in East Raleigh just after 9 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Poole Road and Peyton Street, which is in front of Poe Elementary School.
Police said the pedestrian, a 60-year-old man, was seriously injured and taken to WakeMed.
An eyewitness at the scene said the man was sitting up shortly after the crash. His name has not been released.
Video from the scene showed that a taxicab was involved. It had a cracked windshield.
The driver of the car was not injured.
No charges have been filed at this time.
