Person hit, killed on U.S. 15-501 South at N.C. 751 in Durham

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a fatal traffic accident after a person was hit along U.S.15-501 South near N.C. 751 in Durham Thursday morning.

It happened around 6:40 a.m. when a man was struck while crossing a ramp, according to police.

The victim, whose name is not being released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The ramp from 15-501(S) unto N.C. 751 is closed as authorities investigate. It is unknown if any charges will be filed.
