
MOUNT AIRY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two people are dead, and two others injured after a shooting in Mount Airy on Thursday.
Around 2 p.m., the Surry County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Samurai Lane, near Welcome Baptist Church Road. Deputies arrived to find four individuals with gunshot wounds.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation said an 18-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other three victims were transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. A 17-year-old male later died from his injuries.
Currently, an 18-year-old male is in stable condition, and a 17-year-old male remains in critical condition.
Authorities worked overnight and arrested four individuals in connection with the incident, including two juveniles. No names have been released as the investigation is ongoing.

The two juveniles are being held by the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, while the other two suspects are detained at the Surry County Detention Center without bond.
