CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A crash involving a Wake County school bus caused significant delays on NC-540 westbound Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 8:10 a.m. near Cary, according to NCDOT, and the two right lanes are closed past Exit 50 (Bells Lake Road).
A spokesperson with the Wake County Public School System said a car crashed into the back of the bus. There were no students on board at the time.
Chopper 11 was over the scene, showing the car wedged underneath the bus.

Meanwhile, International Drive has fully reopened at the tunnel near John Brantley Boulevard.
Earlier Wednesday morning, Raleigh-Durham International Airport shared a photo on X showing what appears to be a box truck stuck in the tunnel. The road was closed for several hours.
