One dead, multiple people hurt in Wake County shooting

ZEBULON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Several people were injured, and one person was killed in a shooting Wednesday night in Wake County, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded around 10:40 p.m. to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Mack Todd Road and West Barbee Street in Zebulon. When they arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

A third man was also found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities said a juvenile male and another adult man later walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

No arrests have been made, and deputies said the investigation is ongoing. No additional details were immediately released.

The intersection of West Barbee Street and Mack Todd Road remains closed while investigators work the scene.
