
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham Police are investigating after a woman was shot Tuesday night.
Officers responded just after 7 p.m. to the area of Lawson Street and Rosewood Avenue at the McDougald Terrace public housing complex..

They found a woman with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the foot.

The woman was taken to a hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
Earlier in the Bull City, officers responded just before 2 a.m. to the 4000 block of Meriwether Drive for a call about a woman being carjacked.
A while later, officers spotted the stolen car and tried to pull it over. The driver refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit.
With the assistance of Durham County deputies, authorities stopped the car, and the people inside got out and ran.
A male juvenile who was driving the car was taken into custody.
