Durham nonprofit seeks help to provide Thanksgiving meals to families in need

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Durham nonprofit is asking for the public's help to feed 152 families ahead of Thanksgiving.

The urgent plea came from the Triangle Nonprofit & Volunteer Leadership Center.

Many of the families include young children, older adults, and people with disabilities who are at risk of going without a holiday meal.

The organization has been feeding families since 1992 during the holidays, and it told ABC11 that this year, the need is at an all-time high.
