
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A driver faces numerous charges in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead, Fayetteville Police said Thursday.
Officers responded just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday to Robeson Street and Whitfield Street after a man had been hit by a car,
The pedestrian, identified as Angel Rodriguez, 41, of Fayetteville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the car veered off the road and hit Rodriguez, who was walking on the sidewalk.

The driver took off, but officers found the vehicle after it stalled.
Angela Cheveena Harrington, 37, of Fayetteville was arrested.
She was charged with felony death by motor vehicle, felony hit and run, driving while impaired, failure to maintain lane, and no operator's license.
She was also charged with misdemeanor child abuse after officers saw a child riding in the car.
Harrington was being held on a $105,000 bond.
