Firefighter injured while responding to vacant house fire in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- An investigation is underway in Fayetteville after a house fire Monday morning that authorities believe is "suspicious."

Eyewitness News was on the scene at 2:30 a.m. on the 900 block of Ramsey Street.

Fayetteville firefighters battled heavy smoke and flames shooting from the home. One firefighter was injured, reportedly slicing their hand open.

The fire is being investigated as "suspicious," given that the home has been vacant for years.
