Woman found dead inside Goldsboro home after police asked to do welfare check

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- Goldsboro Police Department is investigating after a woman was found dead inside her home.

Officers responded to a home on Central Heights Road for a welfare check on Monday.

Police found 36-year-old Gareshia Joyner dead inside the home.

It's unclear how Joyner died.
