Armed and dangerous kidnapping suspect on the run, Harnett County deputies warn
HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Harnett County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help locating a man wanted on kidnapping charges who is considered potentially armed and dangerous.
Authorities are searching for a 38-year-old white man who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds. Investigators said he has long brown hair and a tattoo running from his left arm down to his wrist.
The suspect was last known to be wearing a white tank top, shorts and Adidas slides with socks.
According to the sheriff's office, he was last seen in the area of the Erwin DMV, U.S. 421 South and surrounding areas.
Deputies said the man is wanted on kidnapping warrants and warned the public not to approach him.
Anyone who sees someone matching the suspect's description is urged to call 911 immediately and provide the person's location and direction of travel, if known.
The investigation remains ongoing.
