
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Several organizations in the Triangle are offering free Thanksgiving meals to ensure everyone has a warm meal and a sense of community during the holidays.
Here's a list of events:
Durham Rescue Mission: Hosting their 51st Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1201 East Main Street. Doors open at 11 a.m., and the event starts at noon.
West 94th Street Pub: Giving away 200 meals on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Woodcroft Shopping Center, 4711 Hope Valley Road, Durham. First come, first served, with curbside pick-up available.
Meals On Wheels Durham: Partnering with the Durham Rescue Mission to deliver hot Thanksgiving meals to MOWD clients on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 27). Volunteers will deliver meals from 10 a.m. to noon.
Wake County Sheriff's Office and Mount Moriah Community Church: Partnering to give away turkeys and non-perishable food on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 1500 Garner Road in Raleigh. First come, first served.
Catch The Fire Church: Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway on Sunday, Nov. 23, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The goal is to bless 225 families with meals and create a space filled with love and connection.
Kingdom Life Church: Giving away 100 free Thanksgiving meals on Saturday, Nov. 15, starting at 11 a.m. at 2425 East Garner Road, Raleigh. Meals are first come, first served, and limited to one bag per car.
White Rock Baptist Church: A turkey giveaway on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 3400 Fayetteville Street in Durham. The event, hosted by A.S. Hunter Lodge #825 and Non-Parielle Chapter #648, starts at 11 a.m. and is first come, first served.
Wave Church Ministries: Giving away free turkeys, hygiene products, canned foods, and beverages on Saturday, Nov. 22, starting at 11 a.m. at 2605 Carver Street in Durham. First come, first served.
Wake Forest Police Department and Tri-Area Ministry: Distributing over 1,200 frozen turkeys on Monday, Nov. 24, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry, 149 E. Holding Ave., Wake Forest. A drive-thru system will be used.
Chapel Hill Food Distribution: Provides fresh fruit and vegetables and non-perishable food items on Wednesday, Nov. 26, starting at 9:30 a.m. at 2000 Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill.
