RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A new business will replace the Tucker Street Diner in Raleigh's popular Smoky Hollow area.

On Thursday, Iris Coffee Lab shared on social media that Madeleine Raleigh, a coffee and bread bakery, will soon open in the location.

Shop owners said they're hoping to open by the end of the year.

The news comes just days after Tucker Street Diner closed after less than 18 months in operation.

A note on the door of the shuttered retro-styled restaurant thanked customers for their support.
