Man accused of stealing hearse carrying a casket

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A man in California is facing charges, accused of stealing a hearse which was carrying a casket.

Authorities say the hearse was parked outside a church in Los Angeles for a funeral yesterday morning. The driver left the vehicle unattended with the motor running. That's when the suspect got in and drove off.

Funeral attendees followed him and after a short while he pulled over.

He was arrested and is expected to be charged with auto theft.
