Man fatally stabbed on American Tobacco Trail in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham Police are investigating after a man was stabbed to death in the American Tobacco Trail near Fayetteville Street and Pilot Street.

It happened just before 4:15 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a stabbing behind a building at that intersection. They found a man suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The American Tobacco Trail remained closed in that area for more than seven hours as police conducted an investigation.

The victim's identity has not been released. No one is in custody.
