Man shot near Speedway on Jones Sausage Road in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured in southeast Raleigh early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened near the Speedway gas station on Jones Sausage Road. ABC11 crews at the scene observed a large police presence and investigators searching for evidence in the area between the gas station and a nearby Bojangles.

Raleigh police confirmed to ABC11 that a man was shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Details about what led to the shooting have not been released.

Yellow crime scene tape remained in place hours after the incident as officers continued to investigate.
