Cary Fire Department worker arrested, faces over 20 child sex charges

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Cary fire engineer is facing over 20 charges in a child sex investigation.

Marc Donald Soucy, 59, of Cary, was taken into custody Wednesday around 5 p.m. He is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest follows evidence collected during an ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred in October 2025.

The following day, Soucy was charged with 20 more counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Arrest records revealed that these charges involve sexual images of girls ranging from 5 to 13 years old and date back to 2014,

Town records confirm that Soucy is a fire engineer with the Cary Fire Department.
