Man taken to hospital following shooting in Wake County

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man has been charged in connection with a shooting earlier this week, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday night.

Angelo Quirino-Rodriguez, 18, was arrested Wednesday and charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a firearm into occupied property, and injury to real and personal property.

The charges stem from a shooting on Sunday in the 3300 block of Moonglow Drive. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and was expected to recover.

Quirino-Rodriguez is being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond.

The incident remains under active investigation, the sheriff's office said.
