RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Everyone loves a second chance. Clinton Graves of Raleigh would surely agree.
Graves won $1 million on Aug. 6 in the second of four $8 Million Money Maker Second Chance drawings. There were 979,465 total entries.
He went to lottery headquarters on Friday to claim his prize. Given the choice of an annuity of $50,000 over 20 years or a lump sum of $600,000.

Unlike many winners, who seem to take it all at once, Graves chose the annuity. That means, he'll receive $50,000 for the next 19 years until the full $1 million prize is paid.
He received the first of the 20 payments on Friday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $35,878.
