New Bern Avenue reopens after pedestrian hit in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A stretch of New Bern Avenue in Raleigh has reopened after a person was hit by a car, authorities said.

The road was closed late Saturday night in front of Jack's Seafood Restaurant while police investigated the crash. The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover, officials said.

Police have not released the person's name and have not said whether any arrests have been made.
