
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh police officer was hurt following a traffic incident on Western Boulevard near North Carolina State University on Friday.
RPD said the officer, who was working off duty, was directing traffic at Western Boulevard and Pullen Road when he grabbed a moving SUV and was dragged as graduation events were underway on campus.
According to police, the woman driving the SUV was not following traffic rules.
The officer who was dragged is expected to be OK.
The woman driving the vehicle sped away. There was no immediate description available of her SUV.
