Raleigh crowds voice conflicting views on U.S. intervention in Iran

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Two different demonstrations took place in downtown Raleigh on Saturday.

At Moore Square, dozens of people gathered, calling for an end to U.S. strikes in Iran.

"We don't want to see another endless war," Mickey Brigham said.

Nearby, at the Wake County Courthouse, others rallied in support of President Donald Trump and his decision to intervene, as some Iranian Americans say they are divided over Iran's current government.

"Of course, the war is horrifying," Fara Pourshariati said. "But this is about human rights violations."

Both demonstrations were peaceful. Raleigh Police were on scene monitoring the crowds.
