RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh resident in the Lions Park community said she has shelled out $6,000 on home repairs. Her property has been vandalized numerous times since last June, and she said neighborhood children are to blame.
"It's pretty serious that we feel totally unsafe and helpless," she said. "These are kids trying to fight seriously with adults in this community."
She and others in the community did not want to share their identity.

Multiple homeowners have surveillance video of the children throwing rocks at their home. Sliding glass doors have been smashed, and windows broken.
One family told ABC11 a large rock was thrown through their window and nearly hit their 6-month-old baby, who was sitting in a highchair.
Raleigh Police say some of the children are as young as 7.
Police say officers spoke with the parents of the children responsible, and those parents have not been cooperative about the damage done in Lions Park.
"Feeling scared inside your own house and waiting every day for a call from a neighbor to share information about another case of vandalism is pretty frustrating," said one resident.
Another resident said bikes and other personal items have been taken from her yard.
"If you did not have it nailed down, you had a good chance that it was going to get stolen," said the resident. "We all just want to live in peace. I've lived in this neighborhood for 18 years. I've never had an issue."
A community meeting is being held at 7 p.m. on Monday at the Lions Park Community Center.
