Sampson County man charged in father's December death

CLINTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Sampson County man has been charged in connection with his father's death.

On Dec. 26, deputies found 54-year-old Charles Frankie Long dead inside a home in the 100 block of Manuel Lane in Clinton.

They said he had died from injuries he received during a physical altercation with his son, 29-year-old James Franklin Lockamy.

Lockamy, of Roseboro, turned himself in on Wednesday morning and was officially charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection.

He's being held in the Sampson County Detention Center with no bond.
