Clemsonquarterback Christopher Vizzina is week-to-week after sustaining an elbow injury in Saturday's 22-7 home win over Georgia Southern, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Freshman Tait Reynolds is the expected starter when the Tigers host North Carolinain their ACC opener Saturday.
Vizzina connected on a 10-yard touchdown strike to T.J. Moore on the game's second possession, but was replaced by Reynolds after throwing an interception on the next series.
Reynolds completed 16 of 27 passes for 178 yards and led five scoring drives. Clemson managed just one touchdown on five trips inside the red zone against the Sun Belt Conference foe.
"There are mistakes that we all made, and personally I made a lot," Reynolds said of his most extensive playing time since his junior year of high school. "But at the end of day you can grow from it and get better from it. ... But it is what it is, and we got the win."
