Sources: Duke G Tyrese Proctor (knee) out vs. Florida State

Duke guard Tyrese Proctor will not play for the No. 2 Blue Devils against Florida Stateon Saturday night, sources told ESPN.

Proctor, Duke's third-leading scorer at 11.8 points per game, injured his knee during the first half of Wednesday night's win overMiamiand did not return. The injury has been described as a bone bruise.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer has made it clear there is no structural damage and that Proctor is expected back this season. The schedule gives Duke the ability to allow Proctor to rest and have him close to 100% when he is ready to return.

In the second half against Miami, Duke started freshman Isaiah Evans, whose recent performances indicate he is likely to continue in that role, as he has averaged 16.6 points per game over the past three outings. In that stretch, he has hit 13 of 19 3-point attempts.

Proctor is a junior from Australia who shoots over 40% from 3-point range and is third on the team in minutes played. He is a key cog for the Blue Devils thanks to his versatility and experience.

Duke has three games remaining in the regular season: Florida State on Saturday night, a home game against Wake Foreston Monday and a trip to North Carolina to conclude the regular season next Saturday.

From there, Duke will have the ACC tournament and currently projects as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.
