Raleigh man's viral TikTok helps fix road line mistake

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh man is going viral on TikTok after posting a video showing squiggly double yellow lines on South State Street.

Jordan Huggins said he was driving home on South State Street when he noticed the unusual road markings.

With little traffic on the road, Huggins pulled over, got out of his car and started recording.

"I was driving home and it's like a trail of breadcrumbs. And the line starts to like a dashed line. And then it just got crazier and crazier and more and more out of whack. And so then by the time I got past that, I was like, 'I have to stop and say something.' So I turned around. It was low traffic at the time, so I parked in the middle of the road, jumped out and started recording," Huggins said.

Huggins' video quickly gained traction, with people messaging him on TikTok and Instagram. It also caught the attention of the City of Raleigh.

The city located the problem and fixed the squiggly lines.

A spokesperson for the City of Raleigh said officials are investigating why the contractor left the road markings in that condition.
